Design Lab

Students move into the Develop and Deliver phases of the Double Diamond. They EXPLORE prototyping, testing, feedback loops and design refinement. 

Students CONNECT with authentic problem-solving, working collaboratively on community or school-based challenges. 

Students CREATE more resolved solutions such as app interfaces, signage, 3D prototypes or awareness campaigns. 

Assessment 
Practical: 

• Visual diary documenting research, ideation, prototyping and refinement 
• Prototype/model demonstrating creative problem-solving 
• Final resolved design outcome (digital or physical) 

Written: 

• Research into a contemporary designer or design movement 
• Written rationale explaining the design solution and how user needs were addressed
