Subject Selection in senior school is one of the most important and exciting decisions for students entering their final stage of secondary education. This is an opportunity for students to start carving out their own paths for whatever future they can imagine for themselves.
It also involves some difficult decisions due to the large amount of information that needs to be taken on board and the broad range of options available both at Emmanuel and in the pathways students can move into at the end of Year 12.
When navigating this information, both students and parents are encouraged to set aside time to read through the different courses on offer and watch the videos of courses you may be interested in. This will help you get a feel for what can be expected.
Each course has a person who can be contacted for further information. Please seek them out for any questions you may have about that course.
You will receive an email to your College email account with instructions and a link to the online subject selection system.
In choosing courses it is advisable to be realistic and consider which course will best suit your abilities, interests, personality and future career aspirations. To make these choices it is necessary to have a thorough understanding of the following:
| We wish every Year 12 student every success as they make these important decisions and prepare for the pathways that lie ahead. |
