Year 7 – Where Curiosity Leads the Way
Year 7 at Emmanuel Catholic College isn’t just the beginning of secondary school — it’s the launch of something bigger. It’s a year designed to energise, inspire, and unlock potential. From the moment students step through our doors, they’re immersed in a learning environment that’s bold, forward-thinking, and built for the future.
Our curriculum is designed to challenge and excite. Students engage with core learning areas — Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities & Social Sciences (HaSS), and Health & Physical Education — all delivered through rich, real-world learning experiences that develop creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
The Year 7 Electives Program is a hands-on rotation through subjects from Technologies, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Home Economics. From designing and coding to creating, performing, and problem-solving, students get the chance to experiment widely and uncover new passions before shaping their own learning path in future years.
Students also select a Language — either Italian or Japanese — which they study across both Years 7 and 8. This two-year journey opens up global perspectives and builds powerful communication skills in an increasingly connected world.
At Emmanuel, Year 7 is designed to be a game-changer — a bold beginning where students are not just prepared for what’s next but inspired to create it.
