Year 9

Bush Rangers

Bush Rangers is a hands-on, outdoor education program that empowers students to become active participants in the conservation and sustainability of Western Australia’s natural environment. Building on the Year 8 course (though prior participation is not required), students will engage in more advanced conservation projects and develop skills in leadership, teamwork, and environmental management.

As part of a statewide cadet initiative involving over 200 schools, this course also offers opportunities for students to gain nationally recognised certificates in areas such as First Aid, Conservation and Land Management, and Leadership. Camps and excursions form a core component of the program and are essential for participation and assessment.

If you’re passionate about the environment and enjoy being outdoors, this course offers a rewarding way to contribute to conservation efforts while building real-world skills. You’ll deepen your understanding of environmental sustainability, take part in team projects, and take on leadership roles in meaningful outdoor settings.
