Year 8 introduces students to the foundations of digital illustration. Students EXPLORE stylus control, layers, brushes, colour tools and basic rendering while developing confidence in digital creativity.
Students CONNECT with each other through shared critique, collaborative mini-challenges and learning from contemporary digital artists.
Students CREATE character designs, digital stickers, posters and stylised portraits, building strong visual communication skills.
Assessment
Practical:
• Visual diary with digital experimentation (brushes, layers, textures)
• Small digital artworks (stickers, icons, character sketches)
• Final digital artwork demonstrating learned techniques
Written:
• Short artist analysis (digital illustrators / character designers)
