Careers & Employability (General)

Careers and Employability helps students plan future pathways in a changing digital and globalised world. Students explore work and career options, personal strengths and interests, employability skills, and the nature of work. They develop practical skills in communication, teamwork, digital literacy, time management, problem-solving and critical thinking while building a career portfolio.

Course Structure

Unit 1: Exploring Work and Career Options – Students investigate personal strengths, interests, work preferences and reliable career information to support pathway planning.

Unit 2: Entry-Level Work Readiness – Students prepare for work by developing a career portfolio, résumé, personal brand, and an understanding of workplace expectations, rights and responsibilities.
