Year 11

Workplace Learning (Endorsed)

Workplace Learning – ADWPL
This is an Endorsed program

Course Content
Students attend workplace once a week for 10 weeks. For each workplace attended students need to complete a minimum of 55 hours, complete a task schedule and skills journal. Together this will credit students with a C grade for each work placement towards their WACE graduation.

Students take part in a work place induction, interview and are guided throughout the course.

Skills
The employability skills of team work, problem solving, communication and time management are implicit in students entering a new work place whilst managing their school commitments.

Pathways beyond school
The experiences often help guide students into finding the career they wish to pursue. This assists with decision making regarding courses in  Year 11 and 12  and in post school options.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this course, although it is College policy that students select Careers and Enterprise General as a course of study.
