Psychology (ATAR & General)

Studying a Psychology course will enable students to understand human behavior and mental processes, equipping them with insights that are valuable in a rapidly changing world. Students are exposed to a variety of psychological sources, including research studies, case studies, theoretical papers, experiments, surveys, and secondary sources, in order to explore the cognitive, emotional, and social processes underlying human actions.

Students who choose Psychology will complete depth-studies and investigate topics such as:

  • Developmental Psychology
  • Social Psychology
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Biological Bases of Behavior

Pathways Beyond School

Studying psychology will develop students’ critical reasoning and analytical skills, including the capacity for solving problems and understanding complex human behavior.   • ATAR: State C-Grade minimum in Science in Year 10
